All SEED2SCALE partners met in Ljubljana for Slovenia’s first national Social Innovation Festival, hosted by our partners at the Slovenian Competence Centre for Social Innovation.
Across the Festival, the discussion moved across:
→ how good practices can be transferred to new regions and sectors
→ what financing mechanisms can help social innovations survive beyond project funding
→ how we define quality and measure social impact
→ how municipalities can become partners and adopters of innovative solutions
→ and how social innovation can become part of national strategies and future funding priorities
Slovenia is now working on a national strategy and action plan for social innovation and it great sign that the Festival brought the people influencing different parts of that system into the same space: ministries and municipalities, social enterprises and cooperatives, startups, NGOs, researchers, investors and support organisations.
