SEED2SCALE at “Using Impact Measurement to Scale What Works in Social Innovation and Social Inclusion” event, Brussels, Belgium

This week, the partners from the SEED2SCALE consortium are participating in a joint event in Brussels, together with other National Competence Centres from the EU, social innovators, policy experts, representatives from the European Commission, academics, and managing authorities, all committed to transforming welfare and social systems through innovative, effective approaches.

The 2 days were full of insights, case studies, and workshops on impact measurement, which were very instructive on how to generate and manage the practice-to-policy transition.

Even though the Belgian social innovation ecosystem is characterised by regional fragmentation, it was inspiring to discover that there are lots of robust local organisations that are supporting the ecosystem. They have successfully adapted cross-border models (such as France’s Territoires Zéro Chômeur de Longue Durée) while developing indigenous scaling mechanisms anchored in local partnerships.

Thank you Social Innovation+ Initiative for organising this valuable event.
