Torino, 31 May 2022
The Italian Territorial Cohesion Agency organised in Torino its annual event to showcase the most impacting social innovation projects funded in the framework of the National Operational Program for Metropolitan Cities 2014-2020 (PON Metro), and to present the new programming framework for sustainable urban development for the programming period 2021-2027.
The Italian Metropolitan cities including Bari, Bologna, Milan and Torino presented concrete experiences on 4 main topics: learning, impact, community, territories. The discussion was held in different formats, from plenary sessions to workshops and B2Bs and involved more than 150 participants from all over the Country including decision makers, civil servants, practitioners and urban innovators.
SEED was hosted in a dedicated booth and was officially presented by Fabrizio Barbiero, the Project Coordinator, in the conference opening plenary. A special focus was given to highlight the support that the National Competence Center for Social Innovation will be able to offer both to the PON Metro Managing Authority, and to the local ecosystems of innovation. This will also be the challenge of the SEED pilot project to be implemented by the Italian partners in collaboration with the Territorial Cohesion Agency.
